Ooh! Sounds interesting!

Sorry for the absence. I've been SO busy with performances, school, and trying to find a way to get homework done. It's not working very well. :P

Hope you can come to see the Wizard!

Interesting! What's the story with the sack? Is that some sort of creative writing tool?

Did I miss something, I'm not sure I understand the handle bars...

Georgie K. I'd love to come see the Wizard, my 4 year old is Oz crazy right now (In fact, we currently have The Muppet's Wizard of Oz out from the library, the extra features include, I'm not joking at all here, an interview with Quentin Tarentino by that King Prawn muppet. I haven't watched it yet, but I plan to.) Anyway, I don't think I'll be able to make it, I'm wrapping up a picture book this week, then I have, no kidding, two more picture books due this month.

David, actually I've been planning a Lewis and Clark story for a long time. I just wanted to show the sack to make it look like I know thousands of history stories.

Debbie, you didn't miss anything--unless you missed Yellowbelly's opening joke:

"What's the difference between a tricycle and a werewolf? They both have handlebars. Except for the werewolf."

It's a dumb joke, but it makes me laugh every time (even just now.) This character is just that absurd joke personified. I don't know, I'm flying by the seat of my pants here. Most days, I just write up whatever seems funny to me at 2 AM. After midnight the idea of a handlebar werewolf is HYSTERICAL--at least, to me.

Trust me, Nathan, it's funny! I told my friend who's C-R-A-Z-Y about jokes to come look on hear, and he loved the Handlebar joke! (;
School House Rock memories comin' straight back....
"Lewis and Clark volenteered to go,
'Good-bye, good luck wear your over coat!
...."
That's my fav. (:

Ooh, I'm intrigued by the history sack! But what happened to the werewolf's accent?

Nathan said...

His accent is there, he said, "Here jou go." It's a light accent, which he totally loses when playing Ghostbusters on Wii.

Nate, you are Mr. Breadth--art, biology, literature, history, what else?

Thanks Sarah, I pride myself in being able to make dumb cartoons on any number of subjects.

I still like the idea of story sack... Something you can toss ideas into whenever they pop into your head so that, when you had time you could pull one out and go to town :).

Awesome news about the books! And I know ALL about the "Muppets' Wizard of Oz". Believe you me, there are pah-lenty of jokes from that buzzing around the cast. Most of them started by me and my friends, because we watched it at a sleepover. *smirk* Remember the Tin Man's buttons? Yeah. Good times.
